Your Chamber Board has recognized the need to intensify its involvement in public policy issues to assure a pro-business climate in Union County – conducive to growth and prosperity for your business. Your support is important to this endeavor.
It is crucial that the public and our elected officials understand that economic development is essential for local businesses to flourish and for our tax base to grow in order to offset tax increases.
The Chamber is partnering with Wingate University to complete a comprehensive analysis of Union County’s economy. A major objective is to determine an appropriate mix of residential and industrial/commercial land uses and tax base to provide you the opportunity to educate your children and your children the opportunity to live and work here.
A portion of the cost of this $25,000 study has already been committed by several large employers and community leaders. Since this initiative will benefit each of us, we are asking our membership to step forward to assist with funding.
